Hometown:: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

About Me:: I am married to Tom, my husband of 36 years, and have a son and daughter, both married, and 3 adorable grandsons. My first book of inspirational poetry, Beautiful Moments of Joy and Peace, was published in 2007, and Abiding Hope and Love was published in 2008. Two children's books are awaiting publication. I also write music, play piano, organ and flute and enjoy singing. Some other things I enjoy are quilting, needlpoint, reading, word puzzles, and most of all spending time with loved ones.

I'm going to Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC at 7:15 a.m. tomorrow for an operation to drain fluid from my pancres and to insert a stent from the pancreas to the intestines so that it will drain via that route instead of collecting at the end of the pancreas (which becomes painful). This is the second "draining" so he decided to put in a stent. In '08, I had 25 percent of my pancreas removed (all all of my spleen, since the tumor had wrapped all the way around the spleen). It was not cancerous, thank God. Maybe tomorrow will be the end of this problem. I pray so.
